Roof Restoration

There are two types of roof restoration, cement tile restoration and terracotta tiles restoration, each requiring different procedures.

Cement tile restoration

Cement tiles tend to become weathered and loose the original roof coatings generally after 20 years and look dirty and worse for wear. So by giving the tiles a high water pressure clean and applying a three coat sealing system they can be restored to look like new, giving your house a refreshed appearance, saving you thousands of dollars by avoiding replacing your old tiles with new and expensive ones and adding value to your prized investment.

A Protech roof restoration consists of:

• A high pressure water clean of the entire roof
• Removal and replacement of broken tiles
• Removal and replacement of rusty valley irons
• Remove and replace any timber fascia’s that have rotted
• Re bedding and pointing using sand and cement and an acrylic flexible pointing
• And a three or four coat sealing system with a great range of traditional and modern colors

Terracotta restoration

Moss tends to grow on Terracotta tiles after a few years, which sometimes, if left to grow uncontrolled, can have an adverse affect on the performance of your tiles due to the fact that on extreme rainy conditions the water courses on the tiles may block and cause leaks. Also, after many years the mortar on the capping and valley areas tends to crack and start to fall away, again, possibly leading to leakages.

• Application of pool chlorine to kill and soften all the moss and fungus on the tiles
• Remove and replace broken tiles
• Remove and replace rusty valley irons
• Remove and replace any timber fascia’s that have rotted
• High pressure water clean of the entire roof
• High pressure clean the gutters and surroundings
• Re-bedding and pointing using sand and cement and an acrylic flexible pointing
• We remove all rubbish and provide you with spare tiles.
